The Amalfi Coast, or the Costiera Amalfitana, is a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its beauty and natural diversity. It includes places such as Positano, Praiano, Tramonti, and Ravello. The towns on the Amalfi Coast offer its visitors the chance to discover impressive architecture and works of art. Capri
Capri is an island that can easily be reached on a boat tour if you’re staying on the Amalfi Coast. It is primarily known for its beauty, and many famous people visit it every year. Best time to visit the Amalfi Coast: July and August are very lively, as a lot of people visit at this time. It is very sunny, but the temperatures are over 30°C. If you’re looking to escape the heat and the crowds, we recommend visiting in the first half of June and in September. The temperature can reach 27°C, and you can still swim in the sea in September. There are still going to be a lot of people, but not as many as in July and August. In May and October, the temperature is around 20°C. If you visit from November to April, the temperatures will be lower, but there will not be as many people, except around Easter and the Festival of Sant’Andrea, celebrated on November 30.
Getting there: The closest airport is the Naples Capodichino Airport, some 60 km away. From Naples, you can drive or take a bus to the Amalfi Coast. You can also fly to Rome and then reach the Amalfi Coast by train and bus in about 4 hours. To get to the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento, you can take a ferry ride. DO visit multiple towns on the Amalfi Coast
You can rent a car for a day or two and visit different towns on the Amalfi Coast. Sorrento is the biggest town, but the smaller towns also have a unique charm to them. Positano is very famous and good for shopping. Praiano offers a great vantage point for seeing the Amalfi Coast from high up, and it is cheaper. Stop in Amalfi, Ravello and Minori, too.
DON’T expect stores to be open the whole day
Many stores on the Amalfi Coast may be closed between 1:00 and 15:30, so be sure to check the working hours beforehand.
DO try Italian food
