Perfect day in Amalfi!

This was a perfect day trip from Naples! The views throughout the day were beautiful, especially as we passed through Positano. The real highlight was Ravello, with its stunning villas and lush gardens. I also enjoyed the panoramic views from Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone. The tour was well-organized, with enough free time. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Italy!

A great full-day tour

This Amalfi tour from Naples was amazing. Our guide, Luciano, was amazing. He shared great stories and myths like that Hercules, the Greek God, gave Amalfi its name after a nymph who took his heart. I also enjoyed the lunch we had, the fresh mozzarella and spaghetti were delicious. The whole experience was so well-organized, and we had enough free time to explore on our own. Highly recommend this tour!

Amalfi Tour from Naples

EXPLORE AMALFI

On the Amalfi Coast Tours from Naples, you’ll visit Amalfi, a historic maritime republic nestled between cliffs and the sea. As you walk through the Piazza del Duomo, your guide will talk about how Amalfi once rivaled Venice in maritime power and was a powerful trading hub. There, you’ll see a beautiful 9th-century Amalfi Cathedral with its striking striped facade and Arab-Norman architecture. After exploring the city with a guide, you can opt to go on a boat cruise for stunning views of the coast from the water or browse local shops for souvenirs and handmade paper, a tradition dating back to the 13th century. Also, take some time to explore the streets or simply relax at a café before enjoying a light lunch at a restaurant with beautiful views of the Mediterranean.

DISCOVER RAVELLO

After lunch, the tour will continue to Ravello. Located high above the coastline, Ravello has some of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Amalfi Coast. Walk through its peaceful streets and take in the elegant architecture of historic villas with gardens full of colorful flowers. Visit Villa Rufolo, a 13th-century villa with lush gardens that served as inspiration for some of Wagner’s operas. Your guide will talk about Ravello’s medieval history and its connection to Wagner and other artists and writers. Close by, Villa Cimbrone’s Terrace of Infinity offers the perfect spot for the most stunning panoramic views of the Amalfi Coast. During your free time, explore the village’s charming streets and artisan shops, where you can find locally crafted ceramics and limoncello.

ENJOY SCENIC VIEWS

Enjoy a scenic drive while traveling between Amalfi and Ravello. You’ll pass beautiful lemon groves and impressive terraced vineyards. The tour will also stop for photos in Positano and Sorrento, recognizable for their colorful houses set along the cliffs. Your guide will talk about the region’s history, culture, and legends. With free time in both villages and a beautiful scenic drive, the Amalfi Coast Tours from Naples offer the best of southern Italy!

Did you know about Amalfi’s papermaking tradition?

Amalfi’s papermaking tradition dates back to the 13th century, making it one of Europe’s oldest. As a maritime republic, Amalfi revolutionized papermaking in Europe by importing cotton and linen from the Arab world. Artisans then used the supplies to craft luxurious paper by hand using water-powered mills in the Valle dei Mulini. This innovative way of making paper replaced parchment and was used for papal decrees, royal documents, and manuscripts. The historic workshops where artisans maintain the ancient techniques are still open today in Amalfi as a tribute to its ingenuity.
