They customized the itinerary for us
I booked a private boat tour for my family on our last day of the vacation, and it was amazing. The kids loved it, and the captain and the crew were so helpful and patient. They took us to a little beach hidden between the cliffs that had no tourists. It was not on the itinerary, but they customized it for us. Later we saw all of the sea caves this island is known for, the lighthouses, and the famous Faraglioni rocks. We even sailed under the arch of the middle rock, and that was spectacular. After docking at the Grand Marina, we went for lunch and a walk before heading back to Positano.
A boat tour with a personal skipper was a game changer!
It was such a privilege to do the Private Boat Tour Amalfi Coast with our own personal skipper. We went all around the beautiful Capri Island and saw the famous grottoes, especially the Grotta Azzurra (Blue Grotto). As we approached, I wanted to take a good selfie, but the angle was wrong. I asked the captain if we could move sideways a bit so that I could take a better selfie. Not only did they move the boat, but one of the crew was kind enough to take my picture with the Grotta Azzura in the back. Oh, and I got a huge amount of likes for that pic! Going on a boat tour with a personal skipper was a game changer!

SIREN WAILS OF THE LI GALLI ISLANDS
As you embark on the Private Boat Tour Amalfi Coast, your first destination is the Li Galli islands. Halfway to Capri, this small archipelago has a truly unique history and some epic literary stories to tell. Did you know these islands played a part in the epic Odyssey? While Odysseus and his crew were wandering around the Mediterranean Sea hoping to reach Ithaca, they almost got lured to these rocky islands by the wails of Sirens. Admire the rugged cliffs of the Li Galli and the amazing views of the Amalfi Coast.
MAKE A STOP AT NERANO
Next on the Private Boat Tour Amalfi Coast, you will pass by Nerano, a picturesque fishing village tucked in between Sorrento and Positano. Your personal skipper will make a short stop here so you can swim in the crystal-clear waters.
CRUISING AROUND THE CAPRI ISLAND
The main part of this Amalfi Coast private boat tour is cruising around the entire Capri island. The coastline of this famous island is dotted with man-made and natural landmarks, including the lighthouses, the Blue, Green, and White Grottoes, and archaeological ruins from the Roman era.
VISITING THE FAMOUS SEA CAVES
The most notable feature of Capri is its colorfully named sea caves, or grottoes. During the Private Boat Tour Amalfi Coast experience, you will approach these caves and be able to enjoy their spectacular colors. Use this opportunity to snap epic photos with no need for additional filters or any other enhancing feature. Also, here you will have another chance for a refreshing swim in the pristine Mediterranean Sea.
THE ICONIC FARAGLIONI ROCKS
Later, your boat will navigate toward the iconic Faraglioni. These incredible rock formations consist of three spurs of rock that rise from the sea. One of them, named Faraglione di Mezzo, has an arch that can be sailed under. If you wish for the boat to pass under it, just ask your personal skipper, and they will make it happen!
END OF THE ADVENTURE AT MARINA GRANDE
After sailing around Capri, your boat will anchor in Marina Grande Harbor. Enjoy some free time you can spend shopping, sightseeing on foot, or having lunch. You can also choose the option to go swim at a secluded beach or go on a guided tour of the Blue Grotto. Should you prefer to do a little sightseeing, we recommend visiting the Roman ruins. Did you know that in ancient times, Capri was a favorite retreat for Roman emperors? One such example is the Villa Jovis, built by Emperor Tiberius in the 1st century AD. You can use this time to go check it out.
