A memorable Southern Italian day

This was one of the best day tours I’ve been on. I loved walking through Pompeii and seeing the ancient villas and amphitheater. Our guide was amazing, he explained everything so well, I especially loved hearing about how Romans used to live. The Amalfi town views were beautiful and the coach ride was smooth. Overall, the whole tour was well-paced and I recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.

Well-organized and relaxing

This tour had the perfect mix of structure and freedom. We had free time to explore Positano on our own, which I loved. I walked through the streets, enjoyed the views, and even bought some limoncello to bring home. It felt like a mini-vacation in one day!

Rome to Amalfi Coast Day Trip

DISCOVER THE WONDERS OF ANCIENT POMPEII

Begin your Rome to Amalfi Coast Day Trip with a comfortable coach ride to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pompeii. Skip the long lines and enter the Roman city, which remained frozen in time. Explore its historic streets to discover theaters, baths, and mansions that have been remarkably preserved. Your guide will explain how Pompeii was built in a grid-like street system, which was very innovative for its time. The city spans 170 acres and offers a fascinating look into how Roman life looked before Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD.

BEAUTIFUL DRIVE ALONG THE AMALFI COAST

After exploring Pompeii, you’ll go back to the coach and set off on a scenic drive along the Amalfi Coast. The route provides stunning views of the sparkling Tyrrhenian Sea, as well as steep cliffs and lush greenery surrounding the area. As you enjoy the ride, take in the panoramas of the rocky coastline and its charming villages and lush terraces. The Amalfi Coast is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for combining its natural beauty and cultural significance, making this drive a must-see experience.

EXPLORE POSITANO

Next on the Rome to Amalfi coast tour is a visit to Positano, a village famous for its colorful houses that cascade down the mountainside. Take a walk through its narrow streets full of boutique shops offering local crafts and souvenirs. Stop by the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, a building from the 10th century that is notable for its unique majolica-tiled dome and see the Black Madonna, a wooden statue thought to have been brought from Constantinople. Don’t forget to stop at the beach promenade to snap photos of the coastline, or just relax with a coffee and take in the serene atmosphere. After this, you’ll board the coach for the return trip to Rome.
